Not entirely true about the foot throttle. I have seen late models with and without the foot throttle. The older models had green wheels, hoods, and fenders with a black frame/engine. The later models had the red hood and fenders, off white wheels and a green frame/engine. Of course a lot of people repaint before they sell them so how can you tell the difference then? Here is how! The sure way to tell is whether the bell housing is cast or stamped steel. If the bell housing of the transmission has a smooth finish it is an older model. If the finish is a rough cast iron finish, it is the later and heavier model.
