Hi Scott, I have the same problem with emailing Hoye, try calling Aaron or sending him a PM, might take him a few days to check his PM, if he won't ship to you try LMTC or Fredricks. just a note Aaron told me he get thousands of emails a day, also keep checking on here, somebody on here might ship to you. and welcome to TBN.....Robert

Unfortunately only a handfull of them are related to tractors. Most of them are trying to save me money on insurance or are trying to enhance my love life /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif . I can't explain where emails go if we dont get them. I usually answer within an hour if I see them though.

Scott, I replied to you on 1-9, 1-12, & 1-19.
Feel free to PM me, we ship to Australia at least once a week.

Aaron

Aaron,
we find that people often don't get our emails as well, and it usually has to do with filters. Some ISPs just always keep really strong spam filters up (like AOL) and some put them up during periods of high spamming. Some ISPs don't allow specific other ISPs to come in at all, if they have had a recent spat of spam from the ISP, or all too often, APPEARING to have come from the ISP.

Bottom line to all folks...do you really think anyone goes into business with the intention of NOT answering reasonable inqueries? Don't assume your email got through, and don't assume the other guy did not respond. If it's important, pick up the phone or put it in an envelope with a stamp on it. We can sit around thinking a party is simply choosing to not answer us, or we can do something about it.

Most of us who have websites answer mail daily. Sometimes we get behind, but with the exception of a half dozen we've misplaced in the past year or two, everyone gets some response in 48 hours or so. I know Aaron is at least that responsive, maybe more so. If we didn't get your email, or if our response didn't make it through the filters, there is nothing we can do about it. We can't possibly call everyone whose email we answer and don't hear from again.

I sincerely apologise for this thread and especially to Aaron at Hoyes, as I contacted my provider and said they have had a "mail server problem". They forwarded my mail to me today. Finally!
My enquiry was replied to promptly and politely by Aaron, and it is great to find someone with parts and prompt shipping.
Please accept my apologies.
Scott.

Not your fault either, but the point remains...we all just need to realize that as good as technology is, there are still ghosts in the machine. It's best to not presume something was actually received, or not sent, without confirming with a phone call. Just a good general lesson for all of us with email.

No email for 10+ days would have been a good clue to me, at least here in the US, that something was amiss.

I agree. However, it is very possible to continue to get SOME email while not getting other email, either because of filters or problems with a particular isp, or a variety of things. That is why I urge folks not to assume they are not being answered.

I don't envy you dealers.

I once had an eBay customer win an auction after hours on friday and by midnight saturday he had sent me 8 emails, the last four threating me with immediate negative feedback for defrauding him because he hadn't received any email from me.

I had sent him one moments after the auction closed, a second when he paid at Paypal a few minutes later, and several replies to his inquiries. All addressed to the account that he was writing from. I got a bounce message back for each one. Finally before going to bed Saturday I refunded his money at Paypal with a note that his message from Paypal was the only way he was going to see my reply.

Immediately he wrote me a couple of long wordy pages thanking me 9 different ways for proving my honesty.

Selling on eBay or via the Internet isn't as easy as it looks!

I agree with your points, LMTC. Sometimes our society gets wrapped up in writing and editing emails and using so much time to do so, when a simple phone call gets the job done much quicker.

Whenever I send an email that needs a response, if I don't get it after a day or so, I follow-up with a phone call.
