YM1601D Questions

I have a chance to buy an YM1601D for $3,200.00. It is in good shape, paint and body wise and it looks better than my Ford 3910. It starts and runs good. I am comparing this to my Ford 3910. I have not had a chance to drive it. I will drive it around this week to check out the gears and the four-wheel drive. It comes with a J-Bar box blade and an unknown brand worn out finishing mower. But this does not play into the deal; I got them on my Ford. Anyway the finishing mower is junk and does not work. The tractor still has the Japanese stickers on it. No ROPS, no PTO shield, no over ride clutch on the tractor. The owner does not know the history of the tractor; he got it at an estate sale in as package deal with several cars he was buying. So there is no telling what tractor dealer sold this tractor to the deceased owner. I would like to put a front-end loader on it. I have a need for a small four-wheel drive tractor with a front-end loader on the farm. What problems does this model have? Should I keep on looking?? What problems will I get into with putting a front-end loader on this tractor? Thanks, Frank.

Frank, the 1610D is a bullet proof machine, for 3200 you cant go wrong,
unless you are overlooking something.

Koyker makes a great loader for it too.

I've had a 1601D (one of my personal rigs) for four years. I installed a loader on it three years ago and it continues to impress me with what I can achieve with such a small tractor. Other than a water pump...I've had zero issues with the tractor.
