YM186D Front Driveshaft U-Joints

I'm cleaning up my tech notes and found this. It took me days to locate the correct front U-joint cross & cups kit for my YM186D. Finally a local bearing house found it based on the dimensions of what I removed. The only application they listed for it was the Honda ATV described below.

Apparently these are unique and hard to find. I located an ebay offering at $261 per set described as:

HONDA ATV models: 1985 ODYSSEY (FL350) REAR SHAFT Part # ATV300

Back when I bought the kit from the bearing house, I also located the same thing online for $29.95 + shipping.

HOWEVER: I see that in the couple of years since I bought that kit locally for about that price, americancvstore has now raised their listed price for the kit to $239.95.

Funny, we had one of those when I was a kid. Even then it was hard to find parts for. I guess not a fun coincidence that I now own a 186d.

mmm i think thats about what we had also. all i can remember with the oddysey is we used to always rip tyres to bits. it may have been a few years older than that.
