Hi All! I have a green YM2000 with the three control three point hitch system. I can't get my bush hog or box blade to stay where I set it.

The little drop rate adjuster on the right, under the seat, seems to work right. The big raise/drop lever on the right works, but it seems that there is very little if any "sweet spot" to it. It is either going up or down.

There is a T shaped screw in control in front of the seat. I have heard everything from leave it alone to it only works for locking the TPH in the up position. It seems like it sort of holds the TPH in place if I lock this down - real fast when I see I am where I want to be. Even at that, in a few minutes the hitch is all the way down.

What am I missing? Is it broke? Should I just go to gauge wheels?

Thanks!

It may have rust or debris on the hydraulic cylinder or the "0" rings have failed. If the hydraulic fluid has been changed and filter cleaned recently I would disassemble, inspect and clean the TPH hydraulic assembly.

Is the lever moving, or does it stay where you put it?

Hi All! Thanks for the replies. TBN is quite a resource!! :D

The hydraulic /transmission oil has been changed. None of the levers are physically moving - unless I accidentally bump the mail big TPH lever with my hip.

I am 5' 9" and 170 lbs. I don't see how really big people drive these things! :)

I will look into the o ring thing. I think Hoye has parts breakdowns on their site.

Are you sure that is not happening? that is usually the no.1 suspect for this problem, (whatever a "mail big" TPH lever) is.

I agree , The O rings found in this diagram most likely are bad , causing leak down. HYDRAULIC_LIFT: Yanmar Tractor Parts

Hi All!

It has been a few months and guess who is right?? :D

It IS the lever moving. There is a small friction washer that works with a screw and nut and a tension spring. The fiber friction washer was worn to where there was a projection into the slot that the screw ran in and it was deep enough so as to allow very little friction. I replaced the washer and it works great!!!

Thanks!

Glad to hear that it wasn't the o rings causing the problems as the o ring replacment wouldn't have been as easy as the washer replacment
