I'm curious.
It looks to me that there are various families of near-identical Yanmars, at least among the 2 cylinder models. For example YM2000 is mostly a YM1700 with larger cylinder bore sleeves. I saw a YM1600 and it appeared to be a third member of this family.
Does anyone know other members of this family? Are parts identical across all of them, aside from the obvious differences that provide the different hp ratings - ie sleeves, water pump, injector volume and timing? What about different gear ratios for the different tire sizes?
Also, what's the next smaller size in the two cylinder models? The YM1500 seemed to have several obvious differences from the YM2000 family. Does it have larger or smaller siblings?
Thanks for any comments!
