Actually, a seep, wetness around the different bolted/sealed areas below the seat in the Hydraulic area etc.
I've put about 14 hours on the Tractor in 3 weeks, works great, not a seep anywhere on the engine...just the rear tranny.
What additives work well with the Hyd/tranny fluid to 'freshen' old gasket material? How much did you add?
Thanks

None.

You don't.

You fix the gasket or seal that's leaking.

LMTC,
I know you work in this field and are a guru but that wasn't my question.
I do a lot of wrenching and know the dif between a minor seep and a leak.
14 hours of work in 90-100 degree weather equaled 3 drops of oil under the YM.
It's not worth the effort to break into the tranny case to fix this.
What tranny fluid stops leaks are compatable with our oils?
I've heard Lucas will work well.
I won't even add the stop leak unless this persists and icreases a tad.
Thanks.

I don't know of any product in a bottle that will stop a seep , leak , drip ,etc,. . I'am sure that the product may claim to will stop it. But, the old fashion way works best. If you want it to stop, just repair it

Actually I did answer your question. You have every prerogative to not accept or use my answers, but I did answer.

Clean your air vents , that will make it leak.
Very good point, though pressure leaks resulting from plugged vents most often occur at the boot on one of the shift levers.

I'll clean the vents, good suggestion, as I do have some shift boot leakage.
LMTC, you did answer my question actually.....I'd been pulling stumps in 105 degree heat that day and was a bit testy.
Mesquit trees (not bushes) are an extremely hard wood and root deeply, I got one out but another is fighting back rather hard...I'll get the sucker though.
