I just had my clutch go today on my Yanmar YM2001. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may need or where I should start?
Here are the symptoms...For the first time this morning, the clutch started squeaking when I pushed it in. It has been sitting for a couple days and until today, I haven't had any problems with the clutch.
When I let out the clutch the squeaking stopped. I have a loader on my Yanmar hooked into the transmission/hydraulic line, which was full of fluid before the clutch failed.
Just as I was pulling into the house this afternoon, the clutch just gave in and I had to slam on the brakes and shut the engine off to stop. Now I have no clutch. When I tried to push in the clutch with the engine off, right after it failed, a little smoke was coming from under the tractor where the clutch goes into the engine.
Any suggestions/thoughts are appreciated. I'd like to have an idea what might be wrong before I take it to a mechanic. There is nothing to the clutch now when I push it in.
Thanks...
