YM2200 transmission woes

Hi all,I'm having a hard time getting the input shaft out,this is the one that couples to the drive shaft.We have the shift forks,hydraulic reservoir,front plate,and all the snap ring's off.The front bearing came off easy, and the shaft came out about 1/2 inch then stopped.Isn't that shaft supposed to slide out the front leaving the gears in the case, or does the whole trans. have to be taken apart? I'm in trouble on this one Please Help. Thanks,Jim

It comes out the front, do you have all the snap rings off? We took one out yesterday

Jim, I think you will have to remove the rear shaft first so you can bump the front shaft out.
