YM2210, runs great but right brake needs work and decompression lever stuck in valve cover with: Yanmar RS1400 tiller, 4 ft boxblade, 5 ft rotary mower, 3 pt lift pole, and 3 pt PTO powered sprayer. All in good shape. Total price $4650.00. Tractor does not have ROPS. All coming from coworker who has owned it for 8-9 years. I can handle repairs myself. Does this seem like a decent deal? Anymore advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!!

Right brake needs work? As in it works but not well, or it simply doesn't work? You realize a non-functional brake can mean a broken stub axle, at app. $200 in parts and 4 hours labor? That's if only the stub axle is broken, and no other damage occurred. Add an estimated $300 for the repair, $650 for the ROPS, an unknown amount for the decomp lever (which could range from minor to significant), and you're at $5600 minimum, with no warranty. That will buy a unit WITH a ROPS, a rotary cutter (and I think 5' is too much on a 2210....we will couple a 5' with a 2210D and a loader or front weights at customer's request, but we use 4' on a 2210) and a box blade. So you trade the sprayer, pole and tiller for not doing the repairs and a warranty. You don't know how much is broken on this one (the owner may not either), but you do know stuff is broken.

That's how I see it....which route is better for you is your call.

Ed for that price I would say it's most definetly worth looking into see if you can determine what's wrong with it before you buy but like what was already said it could cost you some money to fix it, so be sure. Mark
