Looks like there's an oil leak at the right front wheel that appears to be between items 1 and 3 in the attached image. At least the inboard side of #3 is wet and oil collects and drips off the bottom. Doesn't appear to be a steady drip, more like a slow ooze.
This is the first repair job I've had to tackle with this tractor - YM2220D - (or any tractor for that matter) and I'm wondering what I'm getting myself into. I hate to tear into this thing and find myself in over my head.
What is the most likely cause of the leak? What replacement parts should I have on hand before I open the unit up? Are any special tools beyond a normal complement of wrenches - ratchet, open end, box, etc. - going to be required? Am I going to face any alignment/shimming issues? Is there anything else that should be done as long as I'm in there? Should I do the left front also even though there's no evidence of a leak at that wheel? What questions should I be asking that I haven't asked?
Any comments/suggestions/advice offered will be more than welcome. I know the difference between a wrench and a screwdriver, but assuming expertise on my part beyond that is probably wishful thinking.
