Hi Folks,
I have two manuals for my 2310. One is a very thin operator's manual with about 1/2 of the pages being safety warnings, and the other a service manual that's about 1 1/4 inches thick. The service manual is actually for a YM276 but Hoye Tractor says it is close enough.
The operator's manual says to use the knob under the seat to lock the 3PH in a raised position. The knob must be either wide open or fully closed. Wide open for regular use and fully closed when locking the 3PH. When closed there must be no attempt to raise the 3PH as this will cause damage.
The operator's manual says that next to the knob is a lever that can be used to slow the rate of the 3PH lowering.
The service manual only mentions the knob and this knob is used for both locking the 3PH and for slowing the rate of the 3PH lowering.
It seems like on my YM2310 the lever does indeed change how fast the 3PH lowers but the knob also seems to do this, so why both the lever and the knob? Also, the knob and lever now seem to be stuck so I will need to figure out how to loosen them. Any advice will be appreciated.
Finally, is there a way the slow how fast the 3PH raises? When I move the 3PH lever it rises so fast that it jerks. I cannot get it to rise smoothly. I move the lever in small increments and the 3PH seem to move instantly. I cannot move the lever slowly because it seems to be sticky. I am going to try to figure out how to get it to move more easily. Once again any advice on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
