If you check out ebay, item number 1551216880. This is a CD with the YM276 repair manual on it. I bought it and did my headgasket on my 2310. The complete manual is on the CD all 650 plus pages. The 22.50 price is less than a manual from yanmar, and you also get several other yanmar books, YM2210 parts, YM135-YM155 repair and YM1700 parts manual. Definately worth the money. I'm not sorry I bought it. Another plus is that I can print out the pages necessary for the section I am working on and if they get greasy then I toss them.

I haven't seen the CDs, but I think the original workshop and parts books are still available from Yanmar parts dealers. The books are very complete and contain a lot of tutorial info as well as repair procedures. They are thick and expensive....but worth the money if things like the operation of the powershift and changes in part specs are interesting to you.

Roger the entire manual is on the CD, to include the front and back covers and blank pages. This includes the 276, 135-155 repair manuals or the 2210, 1700 parts books. The copy is good on the one I recieved. We bought a grey market tractor to save money. The CD is a way to get a complete repair manual for the YM276 or grey models that are similar to the 276 ie 2310, 2420 etc, or any of the other manuals needed. If there is a way to get a necessary tool or book and save money I think the information should be disseminated on this form.

Clifst, as I said, I have never seen this CD so can't comment on the coverage. I did see one shop manual on CD last year, but it was a copy of the IT (Intertec) Shop Service manual for Yanmar (still in print at a reasonable price from IT)- which is a good manual - though much less complete than the factory's huge tome. I just weighed several of my Yanmar shop manuals and found that they are in the 4 to 5 pound range, which makes for an over-loaded book shelf.
My own preference is to turn the pages of a book made with quality paper and sharp illustrations. That's why I have a library in my house. But I don't have any argument with the group that prefers a CD. I agree that all information - pro or con - should be discussed on this forum.

can anyone tell me if the YM 276 has live pto or over running clutch, as standard equip? also, what does this tractor weigh? thanks to all.

The YM 276D does not have a live pto (yes I read the thread about yanmars with powershifts and live pto's)

The weigh depends on the exact tire combination your 276D has.

I'll give you the light and heavy weights out of the manuel with the tire sizes:

2202 lbs with 27x8.50-15(turf) front 11.2/10-24(R3) rear

2458lbs with 7-16(R-1) front 12.4-24(R-1) rear

The weights are listed as shipping weights.

If these don't help list the tires you have and I'll look to see if it is listed
