Will a YM3000 lift a 2000 lb roll of hay?

I would not think so. It only weighs 2557#.

Mine would hardly lift a 450lb engine. Had to weld another hook on the boom pole in the middel of it. It would then lift it but the front end kept comeing off the groung. Had to drive in reverse to get to where I wanted to put it.

Dad has a YM3000 and we pick up 1500 pound bales wit hthe center of the boom since i got my big lathe goin i turned dad out a bale spear that keeps the load close to the tractor. it handles them fine but we have 2 suitcase weight on the front off a 750 Deere. I build a 2 wheeled trailer for friends with smaller tractors that feed with big bales. Its a spear on a pivot with a manual winch or a cylinder. Ive made a few of them over the years they even work with a lowpowered tractor like a 10 horsepower Farmall Cub.
