YM3110D Trans Dip Stick Length

I purchased a Ym3110d yesterday and it had 2 gal to much oil in the trans. The dip stick is 7 3/4 inches long. Anyone know what the proper length is.I checked my Ym336d and it was longer which I thought was the same but no luck. Any info would be helpful,Thanks Rick

No idea what is correct but these folks seem to be selling the same dipstick for several models, yours and 336 included. TDS-320 Trans. If the there the same then one of mine is wrong. I am sure the one for the 336 is original. That would mean the 3110 still has too much oil.

mine measures 9 5/8 inches long

If that is the length of the metal portion of the stick that means it still has too much oil in it. That is the same length of the stick in my YM336. The 3110 just had a fluid change so I was hoping to avoid a drain and refill. Thank Kenmac

I have (in the past) added too much fluid in mine.. You won't have to remove it all.. Just loosen the drain plug , let some drain out into a clean container. re-install the plug B-4 it all drains out. then re check the level.. if you drain a little too much out, just add the fluid you drained back to it.. I run mine a over full.. sometimes I get the tractor where it's nose down in a ditch.. All the fluid drains to the front of the transmission and the tractor doesn't want to move because it can't seem to pick up the fluid.. running it over full seems to have cured this problem

Based on the difference in length there's 2 inches too much fluid. I don't know how much volume that would be. I had already drained out two gallon.

I've probably got that much or more in mine.. Like I said, when the front end is going down hill (steep), sometimes, I couldn't get mine to back up.. sounded like it wasn't getting any fluid to the pump.. since I've been running somewhat over full, I haven't had any problems
