Hi, looking for info on where would be the best place to get either a new or used york rake for my bx2200 kubota and also a back hoe attachment. any pro's or cons? thanks
I can say craigslist with authority as that is where I found my 8' RI. It was located about 200 miles from me but the photos looked great and I sensed over the phone that the seller was an honest guy. Coincidentally there was another 8' RI for sale along the same route and it had the scarifer and blade option for the same price but it was really shot, rotted tires, bent rim, bent scarifier, bent and broken tines, etc. the owner made excuses as to why he couldn't send me photos up front before my trip but I was going that way to see the other one so no big deal.
If you haven't already, go to York Landscape Rakes for Tractors and ATVs, Rotary Brooms, Stone & Rock Rakes, Sweepers, and Scarifiers Manufactured by York Modern Corporationand look up the models and sizes that are compatable with your tractor's horse power. You can also price them out on that site to use as a comparison in the used market. If you already have RRs or are planning to install a set or two, try to find a rake that is designed for the optional hydraulic angle kit as it will add a fabulous new dimension to your raking experience. The wheel kit option is also a big plus.
