You just can\'t win.....
Background information:
Took the day off to catch up on the "round-to-it" list. The weather has been dry and I haven't had to mow our lawn or my neighbors. You see, my neighbor has gone on vacation for a month and I agreed to watch his swimming pool and mow his lawn. No big deal. Glad to help.
Had an excavator come in and dig out some stumps so that I could level off an area for picnicing and a horseshoe pit. Not a pressing issue, get to it soon.
What happened:
So I finish my lawn, fuel up the JD, and attach the FEL to move some dirt piles at my neighbors house. He just had the pool installed and had to trench for electricity and level the area for the pool. Since I was mowing the lawn, I would move the dirt.
I just finished fueling up the JD and the wife comes bounding out of the house. Why did you mount the FEL? If you think that your going to go back there to play around move those stumps, I rather you work in garden to move the soaker hoses, and........ etc.
Whoa.... whoa... slow down, dear wifey. I then had to explain that I was going to do my neighborly chores as I promised. Not work on the newly cleared area. Geez, I thought that I would have to put on the armor to protect my body parts!!!
Just cause ya gets a toy to do the heavy work, some people think that is all you going to do is play with it. Not what really needs to be done at the moment.
I guess others have had similar situations.........
