I just attended a surprise birthday party for my younger brother who turned 60 today, and among the guests was one of his best friends from his high school days whom I had not seen for at least five years. We were telling each other about the recent changes in our lives, and he was shocked to learn about my recent divorce, telling me he was sorry.
My reply was: "I'm not sorry because I came out pretty well, I still own the house and property, my car and truck, my tractor, half of the furniture, all four pets, and I don't have to pay any alimony or spousal support..."
And Mike said, "WOW, who was your lawyer.....?" (he took a beating in his two divorces)
