Your opinion on IH 37 and 370 disc harrows

Your opinion please on BEST disc and IH disc harrows

It has been a while since I logged in and that is in part due to the fact that all has been going well and no problems with equipment. Well that has changed, I have 10' transport disc that I use for smaller foodplots and I am just not happy with it. It has cutter discs on the front and smooth on the back. I have adjusted the axels to eliminate any ridges and it works okay from that point. I also use it after I chisel plow so it doesn't need to make an aggressive cut. The problem is that I am just not satisfied with how well it does cut and work up the ground.

I am thinking really hard about trying another type of disc. I would like to know your opinion on just how good the IH 37 discs are that were made in the 50s and 60s and the next model which I think were 370s. I have had a few people claim they were the best small transport discs every made. And, that is really what I am looking for - the best small transport disc every. I have much larger discs and lots of equipment I wouldn't trade at all. I just don't have a small disc I am happy with and need one. Likewise, if you have any opinions on other brands I welcome those as well.

I had a 37 that I just sold, the hitch was busted but it worked ok from a 3 point drawbar. I don't know if I'd call it great. It was a 12 ft wheel lift model. Notched in front, smooth in rear.

I should probably add my smallest tractor is a TN95A so I have plenty of hp to pull a 10 foot disc. I just have some places where a 10 footer is as large as I can take in.
