Just wondering if any of you has used this saw? I sure could have used something like this the other day when having to cut some plywood away next to a wall. My regular circular saw would only get as close as about 2 1/2 inches from the wall. Somehow, I got it done with a lot effort using the reciprocating saw. This little guy may have done better.

What is your opinion? Looks like a pretty good tool for small odd jobs...

I have a Dewalt 18v Cordless circ saw that i use alot. It can get pretty close (1-2") to an object. If i need to get closer i usually use a jig saw ( or recip saw:eek:) to finish the cut. That said the saw in your link looks kinda handy if it will cut right up to an object.

What i really have been waiting to get for tight spots is a Fein Multimaster. I've used one to cut some plastic once and it worked good and they seem to get great reviews on all the woodworking sites. The only complaint is the price.

I have the "Top" kit, it is truly a incredible machine...I didn't mind the tool price-good quality tools cost good money...but the price of the blades is outrageous!

But there are some competitors coming into the market, Even Horrible Fright has a copy now so the blades may be more reasonably priced in the future.

I dont mind paying for quality either. The Multimaster definitely has a substantial feel to it. Id rather wait till i can afford the original instead of the chinese clones.

On another site, a source for cheaper, high quality blades was mentioned. It might be worth a look if you need replacement blades. index

After a little research i found a similar (looks exactly the same) saw as the original one in this post. The reviews are mixed. Most complaints are lack of power and low quality.

Heres a link if you want to do a little reading on your own. There's 100 customer reviews there. Canadian Tire

I was wondering...I have a couple 4 inch angle grinders. Do they make any blades that will fit an angle grinder? Take the abrasive wheel off and put on a 4 or 4 1/2 inch cutoff blade on. That is all I would need next time...if they do sell them...I would need to measure the arbor size so the blade hole size matches up...
