I am real close to buying a 60" Land Pride rake for my BX2230. A local dealer wants $639 for it (without wheels) The wheel kit costs another $200. I'm going to use it to ready parts of my yard and pastures for reseeding. I also checked with a rental place but they only had a 72" rake in stock. I told the clerk there that I had a Cat 1 3-point hitch. He said the rake was for a Cat 3 hitch. According to some other threads on TBN, it is important to get a heavy rake because they do a better job.

What are your takes on rakes?

I went with a rake made by "International". They make implements & mowers. It's an 84" rake, plenty heavy-no cadillac but it gets the job done. $650 bucks. Red frame with black tines, just like International harvester.
