I am presently searching for a spindle assy and double sheave pulley for a YQM - 48 mower deck for a 155D Yanmar. Can anyone tell me who manufactored the mower for Yanmar and if any parts are available? I was told by a local dealer that the mower wasn't made by Yanmar.
thanks,
tom

I'm not sure about the mower, but several Yanmar attachments were made by a company in Claremore, OK (near Tulsa) named Danuser Machine. They are no longer in business as they were purchased by Heston and subsequently closed that plant in about '82.

I purchased a prototype rototiller, which was painted the old Yanmar green, and some mower parts at the plant dispersal sale but all have been sold long ago.

You can make your own pulley with
You can also find parts that would work here Wheel & Deck Accessories

I made a double sheave pulley with 2 steel pulleys and a weld on hub. It is very strong and fits perfectly of the shaft.

Sharing Part numbers. Searching for Blades and more parts still.

I ordered all the bearings and seals for the Finish mower, or Mid Mount Mower YQM-48 mower deck on our Yanmar 155D Garden Tractor.

The oil seals were originally National 7781S
The original Bearings were Timken L44643 and outer is Timken L44610

I ordered them locally which ended up costing me likely twice as much. I would have preferred ordering them from someone who knew what they were before I pulled everything down - just to get this Ripped apart and rebuilt on the same day.

On various forums, you will also see the Doppelgangers to this unit were made by Continental. They manufactured as:
Continental Belton KTR-48 also found online as the KTR48 as well as the
Continental Belton KTR-60 KTR60
The Yanmar 60 inch MMM finish mower is called the Yanmar YQM-60 sometimes seen as the YQM60.
Writing this for future onlookers trying to find parts for these.

I'm posting 18 years to-the-day since the start of this thread, and think it's likely the best thread for the few I've seen about these rare decks.

For the record, I'm keeping my Great Uncle Zirk's Yanmar 155D going. I think I was about 8 the first time I was allowed to run this equipment- 40 years ago.

I'll post more once I hear from others and hopefully find the rest of the parts soon.

Thank you so, so, so, so, much for sharing!

If you need manuals or deep questions answered to keep the YM155D going, the YTOG has a large community of owners, parts suppliers, free manuals, and additional resources.

Also see attached. It's the only complete YQM doc we have. Not found a YQM-60 yet.

I had no idea more than one mid mount mower existed. I have the ymm-45 which runs off a front clutch. Running it off the pto would be much better.
