Yuchai Excavators?

Any one own one, or ran one? Im looking at a YC35 with a cummins engine. I live in a "remote" part of canada. I know cummins mechanincs but as far as hydraulics go, how readily avail are they? Also has anyone in canada dealt with JDB equipment? I was looking at a JD 110 tlb but like the idea of seperate hoe/ Utiliy tractor better. Also a track hoe is easier for cleaning out my creek.

So if anyone has experiance,owns one please fill me in on them!

Hi,

I used to be a dealer with JDB equipment to sell tractors (have gotten out of it, nothing to do with them, personal reasons) and they were always good to deal with.

As far as the Yuchai's go, they seem to be good machines, I have never seen one personally, but from what I hear getting parts is a problem. Around here their prices are not that great for the chance you are taking on an unknown machine.

I just talked with JDB he informed me that Yuchai just opened up a parts warehouse in Toronto and they have a two day air shipment for parts not in stock so thats not a bad thing.

He has a YC 35 with 20 hours on it for 25 american. cab, heat ETC.....

I have not long sold my YC35-7 Yuchai . It was a great little machine , i did'nt like the rubber tracks tho , they were always falling off , no matter how tight they were . Parts are'nt really a problem as the engine is Cummins , the pump , drive motors and slew motor are all Japanese . Pull the radio speakers out and put some insulation behind them . The speaker cones are the only thing between you and the engine noise . If you are going to run a mower , you must run a hose from the Cadmium coloured bung on the valve body under the floor too the blade control valve to get enough flow . Also tell them from the get go , that if the alternator light comes on with all the lights and air con turned on , you want a 75 amp alternator fitted . The Cummins comes with only a 35 amp for stationary use and with the lights and air con going it can't keep up . This is the only picture i can find at the moment . I traded the truck and the Yuchai on the 23 tonner , we unloaded the big girl and then loaded the truck and Yuchai on the trailer .

How many hours did you put on it? Did you ever have any problems with it? did you have a quick coupler on it? Also what kind of mower did you have for it... My creek maintenance wont need a hoe to mow. I can get that with my tractor, I just need it for beaver dams. dead fall ETC. Why did you sell it? and what did you pay for your 35? Sorry for all the questions, but your the first person Ive found to run or own one. Its a hunk of money to throw at something you have no clue about.

Crikey mate !

It only had 173 hours on the clock when i sold it .

Only the tracks comming off , and they were Bridgestones .

It had a half hitch = a hook on the front and a manual pin , real easy .

A CK100 Berti flail 1 metre wide , it ran it well after the extra hose was put on the valve body .

I only sold it because of the rubber tracks , will NEVER do that again , they also come with steel tracks and rubber pads .

$44,000 , i am in OZ remember .

In short , a great little machine who's fit and finish is well above the normal Chinese quality . They also come standard with two way piping with a pedal on the floor .
