I talked to a dealer about the Z525E. One dealer handles only 48" decks, the other only handles 54" decks. The one that handles 48" decks says the engine doesn't have enough power to run 54" deck. The deck is only 6" wider, shouldn't take that much more power. I'm wondering if it's because he sells only 48" decks. Any one have a 54" deck on a 525 - does it have enough power to cut properly for your usage?

Not too surprising that some dealers may shy away from the first large deck option in a line-up. The z525e is not the first machine in the lineup that can take a 54" deck but it is the first machine in the lineup that can accept a powerflow bagger some of their concern could come from that as well so may be pushing the z535m for that reason. Or it's possible that the only reason there is a 54" deck option is for Cali as that is the only version they can sell they can't order the 48" ..not sure why..
