I just finished using my ZD326 hopely for the last tiime this year. What I have noticed, I only mow after a rain so not to make a dust storm. This causes more digging than mowing when dry. Seems like dry grass is harder to rip up. We have close to 700 lbs on each rear tire and it does cause things to happen. Another thing I do to help not tear the grass ( at least where the wife will notice) is slow down and make gentle inputs on the controls. No jerking.
Owned it for over 3 years and would not even think of selling such a fine machine.
