ZD 326 tearing up lawn

I just finished using my ZD326 hopely for the last tiime this year. What I have noticed, I only mow after a rain so not to make a dust storm. This causes more digging than mowing when dry. Seems like dry grass is harder to rip up. We have close to 700 lbs on each rear tire and it does cause things to happen. Another thing I do to help not tear the grass ( at least where the wife will notice) is slow down and make gentle inputs on the controls. No jerking.
Owned it for over 3 years and would not even think of selling such a fine machine.

This is one of the reasons I sold my 2007 ZD 326P and bought a 2011 John Deere X740 graden/lawn tractor. The kubota ZD326 is a top notch ZTR IMHO but I never got the hang of not tearing up my yard.coobie

Curious why you got a Jd instead of a gr2020 or a bx? Not to mentipn the Jd is more expensive.

last week I called my dealer to discuss this concern (why didn't I do that months ago??? Duh). They suggested I drop air pressure. Turns out my rear tires were at 16 psi. I dropped to about 11 psi and have mowed twice since then. Sure, if I do something stupid I can easily rip the turf up. I still have a hard time doing a 360 in place but damage is almost negligible. I can now easily do a tight 3-point turn without any signs of damage.

I was successful last week on a fairly dry lawn. Yesterday I had the same results late morning after heavy rains on Saturday.
