I'm looking to purchase before March 31st because of the additional $300 customer instant rebate. I will be cutting 3.5 ac every week and 5 ac every other week. The grass is not thick and its fairly level ground. The price difference is about $1100. Probably will not be doing the interest free financing, just paying cash and getting the additional $500 discount. From looking at the specs for each of them, I think the only difference is the 5hp. Same size and features. Oh, I will be getting the 60" deck. Do you think I will regret not getting the 331? Hard to justify paying an extra $1100 and all you get is an extra 5hp.
So which one would you get?

I just purchased a new ZD326P and I would think that if you are only running a 60" deck on level ground it would be sufficient in your situation. The 331 would have extra power and weight but I think it has the same top speed as the 326.

I tried out a 331 and purchased a 326 in 2011. I noted very little difference. On level ground you probably don't need the extra 5 hp.

Yea Stihlman I was surprised to see that the ground speed was the same also. I checked Kubota's website but I didn't see anything about fuel consumption comparisons. Anyone know how they compare?
Sorry guys I just noticed the thread title. I meant 331 vs 326.

Know I am past the March 31st date, but you can't go wrong with the 326, I've mowed some pretty high grass, there has been no issues with power. If you are getting the 60 inch deck, save the money.

I did end up getting the 326 and it should be delivered today. I ordered a canopy for it and it came in last Thursday and the dealer was closed on Friday, that's why I'm so late getting it.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine. I am still amazed at how much work this thing can handle in short order.
