Zenith carb on my 9N?

I either need to rebuild or buy a rebuilt/new Marvel or Zenith carb for my (from FIL) 9N. Just read the post regarding a Zenith on a Ford 850..

Don't know if the results (poorer fuel economy) with the Zenith versus the Marvel will be the same on the 9N.

Anybody use a Zenith on a 9N and have a perspective?

it will be fine. you can get re-popped MS pattern carbbs from tsc though if you like the look of a ms carb.

fuel consumption on an N will not have a noticed difference between the carbs. the 8xx models, especially with the bigger manifold and air pipe just tend to get hungry.. that's why such the big difference.

while I've rebuilt both.. I tend to think the ms carbs and repops are a lil more user firendly.. plus easier to get kits for.. but that's just my opinion.. etc.

( same carb gasket fits a tsx 33, 241 a-c, 428 and 580 )
