The 2615 calls for a 3710 backhoe. Anyway, all you need to do is take the loose zerk, (grease fitting) to your local auto parts store, and get the next larger size. Get the self tapping kind unless you want to do it the hard way. I had a similar problem on my loader. It is an easy fix.

As Achingback says, they are threaded. If it is just loose, try to tighten it with a wrench. If it's bent/damaged, or the hole or threads are worn, he has the right answer for you.

No specific experience here, but this is what I'd try:

Remove the zerk and clean it good with a degreaser or shot of brake cleaner. Do the same for the threaded hole.

Then use a removable threadlocker (loctite-blue?) and put it back in. Then pump some new grease through it.

Good luck.

Backhoes can really wreck havoc on zert fittings.;) I change mine out pretty often down near the bucket. I gave up cleaning them. Once I found a splitter of wood shoved into one fitting. A lot of times they get deformed also.
Whatever you do to fix the problem, keep the grease a coming!:D

700' of 6' deep trenching yesterday. Putting a box of new zerks in my "man bag" along with threader. Hope all take grease. Don't want to stand in that mud that sucks your boots off while making a repair. If one gives me trouble, I always replace. I'd just rather replace in the shop than on site.

Usually if a backhoe fitting won't take grease, you just have to move the actuator by trial and error to get it to take grease. I do have an outrigger stabilizer pivot pin that needs to be removed and cleaned to take grease.

I noticed a broken zerk on the outrigger stabilizer pivot pin just yesterday. Will replace it this weekend. (Have a box of replacement zerks just waiting for action.)

I bought a box of 110 of varying size and angles for about 30 bucks. Makes repairs easy and saves money when you consider 6 bucks for a single fitting.
