I have a 30" DR and know it would do the rough cutting very well but for the amount you mow I would consider the tow-behind model that is pulled by a lawn tractor.
I use mine to clear-then maintain paths through timbered and brushy areas (I have 20 acres of forest) and this big model will chop down almost anything it can climb over.
Note-the TV ad videos are no exageration-I typicly mow brush twice as dense and tall and seldoom have any problems mechanicly.
