Upon putting my zero turn Kubota away last fall I decided to run the last few ounces of gas out of the right tank. Getting ready for this spring, after opening up the line to the full left tank and later to the now filled right tank, no fuel is reaching the carb. I wondered whether my efforts had burned out the fuel pump but then found no gas reaching that either. I am not familiar with the way the gas is drawn from the tanks but assumed it was a gravity feed to the pump. Does the pump have to be primed in order to create enough suction to pull the gas from the tanks, given that obviously there is air in the line?
