Hello , been reading the forum off and on for awhile but this will my first post . I have a Kubota ZG222a-48 that l just made the 24th payment on . It has 107 hrs of cutting my 1.3 acres and my daughters 3 acres so it basically looks brand new. I checked all fluids recently but while cutting grass last week the small gearbox on the pro deck ran dry and destroyed itself rather quickly . My Kubota dealer has been very obliging so far and has ordered the part under warranty even though l am a month out . My friend that purchased a ZG222 a couple months after l did went home and checked his and it was also dry . When he added fluid it immediately leaked out the bottom . His ZG222 has only 75 hrs of cutting his 2.5 acre yard . My question is ,ls this something to concern myself with ? My service advisor stated he knows of only one other gearbox that leaked and went out as mine has done yet my friends lower seal is gone also . I shopped around to find the last mower l would ever buy and paid $7400 OTD for a commercial machine but this is not confidence inspiring at all . Any similar experiences or advice ?
