ZG23? good or bad?

any opinions on this mower? I hear good things from kubota and I really like the looks of the 54inch cut and 23hp.

How do these things hold up?? Im just using this to mow my yard(2.5 acres). I need something thats fairly strong and does the job. I see they run about 7000-7300 bucks also?

Very good, its one of the only mowers out there where they really asked "how can we do this better". Exmark, Scag, Ferris, Dixie, etc are all really so simular they could just be one company. You would be shocked to see how many parts are common across all those brands. Kubota is one of the only companies that took a different approach with the gearbox system. I think they are great, I also sell Ferris and Cub Cadet. For a home owner I don't think there is a better choice.

We've got a ZD21 with the 60" Pro-Deck and it is a first class machine. I closely examined the competition and the ZD was way better in build quality that any other. Only thing were mad about is why we did not get one sooner..... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

We have had the ZG-23 about a month now and so far we love it. Excellent quality, fit , and finish. My father has a Dixie Chopper and says that the Kubota controls aren't as jerky as his. The hydraulic lift deck is another nice feature. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

thanks everyone! The CASEIH dealer we deal through for farm equipment has them so i like the people there and they actaully try to sell the thing also! I went to a exmark dealer and a yazoo kee's dealer and they didnt know crap about their product or really even try and sell me one. Im more or less gonna get the kubota this spring since grass will be dieing off soon. Are their any good dealers close to Va that im not aware of? They are 7200 it this dealer and i thought someone said something about finding them for 6400? The 0% finaincing has its pluses also

Do you mind sharing how much your 2003 Kubota ZD21 was priced when you bought it?
I am considering the purchase of a used ZD21 with 60-inch deck but have not been successful in determining the market value of that machine today.

We got our new 2004 model for $9,400 a couple months ago (almost 50 hours on it now). I think MSRP was $11,200 or so. It is a first class quality built machine to say the least.
