Was at my local Kubota dealer today scouting out a new mower. Looked at the BX and ZD machines.

While checking out the machines I noticed lots of white zipties holding various stuff in position. They aren't even cut cut short and some not cut at all! Can't believe it. Looks cheap to use white zipties from Walmart on a $15,000 new piece of equipment! At least they could use black ones. They should not use either.

Heres a pic.

The white zip ties are not UV resistant, and will fail.

Agreed, I would replace every one of the white one's with black. Good quality black one's will last for decades.

It does look cheap.I always replace mine with black ones because they are UV resistant and they look better.I can't see why Kubota doesn't use black ones, they can't cost that much more.

Lol! Yeah that will be their next idea. When I see them at The National Farm Machinery Show I'm gonna give them a talkin' too! Lol

I don't think my L3830 has any zip ties.

My B21, new in 2004, has trimmed black zip ties all over. Never been under a roof. One on a loader cylinder fell off a week ago. That is the only thing that has happened with them. At first I thought it was kinda cheap but seeing how they last I started using more of them myself!

My rub is that they are white and untrimed!!! Black is OKAY. And they should be cut to locking block.

And cut close and square, no sharp points left to cut the unsuspecting hand or arm.
