Hopefully you were aware of the loss of lift when you purchased the forks, as it is the same with all bucket forks, so its on you, not on Harry...

The chain-on on forks we bought from Yankee Warehouse cause the same decrease in lifting capacity, and after reading about it here, we decided we could live with that to keep costs down.

That being said, I also WISH I could afford a Kubota QA, and either the adapters or the ability to fabricate them myself.

Why blame Harry???

Oh, and I almost forgot:

Actually, my post was a plug for Harry. I have already spoken to him and he is already in the process of fabricating a quick attach that can be used to attach his forks to the loader arms when the bucket has been removed.

I may have to go to the beginning of this thread as I can't seem to remember what I saw and wanted, lol. Just bought a new truck so will have to wait till next Christmas or I will be pushing my luck with the boss. I read somewhere, "I hope she doesn't sell my stuff for what I told her I spent on it when I go." lol.

In my ignorance of your private communications with Harry, who has been very helpful to me, I misunderstood your post as blaming him for your loss of lift.

I apologize for the mischaracterization, and any implied or explicit insult you may have taken from my post.

I'm sure that many will be happy to read this news.

Not sure exactly what he will, come up with, as he of course has to engineer it in a way that keeps the price down and at the same time maintains quality. (No small feat!) If he comes up with a QA, that will be great, but if not, the Kubota QA is only some $300, so that won't kill me. (Note that the Kubota QA is advertised as only being compatible with the new BX25D FEL arms, but others on this forum have indicated that it will in fact fit on the older BX25's. It's just that the newer BX25D's supposedly have a bit thicker steel on those arms in order to accommodate more weight.)

He may chime in at some point, but in the meantime I have faith he will come up with the right product, as he has created some amazing things in the past.

There are already SSQA adaptors on the market for B series.

Yes this is an interesting thread.

First off we need a tractor - badly.

In 2010 we were blessed to be able to purchase a 154 acre farm property for retirement. Fifty or so acres are clear and the rest are woods.
We have no neighbors to either side or behind us. It is all crown land around us with lots of nature along with peace and quiet!

Now back to the wish list. (Grin)

I would like a nice used - two to four year old tractor
A front end snow-blower
6 plus Bush hog
Larger Tiller
Post hole digger
Chipper
Backhoe
Leaf and grass collector for mulch for large garden
Sickle bar mower
Two way wood splitter
Round bailer
Everything needed to turn over old hay fields to plant organic hay (Everyone I have tried to hire, in the past 3 years, wants to burn the fields. The great thing about this property is that the fields have not been treated with any chemicals for almost two decades; making it much easier for us to become organic now.)
And any other attachments this city boy would need for working this land. (Smiles)

Burn = Chemicals and not fire. That's the way they mean it around here.

However, I did call our fire marshal some time ago and asked if we could do a control fire burn on our fields. You reminded me he has not gotten back, like he said he would, so I need to call him back.
