What else do you do with forks besides lift pallets?

Mine live on the tractor 95% of the time.

Logs, skiffs, totes of whatever, strangest thing I probably carried, barrels of starfish!

I lifted up 3ea. 20'x 2' diameter horns (corrugated steel tubes used for drainage ditches and such when you need to cross with a driveway or such). Perfect for the job.

Glad you explained that - I was thinking this was another Texas story - 20' horns - when I started reading it. Plus your cattle are the wrong color for those.

Yep, around this part of the world they are called "tin horns".

I've got holes cut in all of my forks. A pin in the hole makes lifting with a chain a lot safer. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=528051"/>

I have 3/4 inch holes in the ends of mine too, I use d rings attached to the forks a lot with chains for lifting things.

Re: What else do you do with forks besides lift pallets? Turkey Processing

We are exhausted.

Processed 22 birds this weekend 8 last weekend

Ranged from 9.5 lbs to 35 Lbs dressed. These were various heritage breed turkeys, more like fat wild turkeys than the genetically modified steroid laden store bought type. I'm impressed that a 40 plus Lbs bird can fly across our yard overall fence or perch high up in a tree.

When they wack you with their wings you think you have bee hit by a Pterodactyl.

Right mike! The last time I was hit by a Pterodactyl it felt just like a turkey!
