Kubota Introduces All New BX8 Series Subcompact Tractors | TractorByNet.com – Compact Tractor Portal
First, they follow the next number in the series, from 70 to 80, but screw up and replace he BX25 with the BX25D, then the BX25D-1, now the BX23S. What was wrong with BX26?
It looks like some really cool features will give the JD 1-series a run for the money. 80 series has a tilt steering wheel, storage compartment, removal of the FEL without getting off the tractor, and a new "four point" quick attach system. If it's the skid steer quick attach, like pictured in one of Everything Attachments' recent posts, that will destroy the competition. It also has new pins that won't leak excess grease and some other neat options.
Of course, as a ten month owner of a BX25D-1, I am wondering if I should have waited another year and a half, to get the new model. But then, I don't want a new model, I want them to get the kinks out. Perhaps, I will wear mine out, in the next year and be looking at the "upgraded" model 80 series.....
If Kubota keeps the good things about the 70 series, I think it will be an easy choice over the JD. When I was shopping, I had them neck and neck, at the end. The JD 1-series really trumps the BX70 series in ergonomics and features. However, I found the Kubota hydraulics better, even if not as strongly rated, on paper.
