I'm considering replacing my B7800 turnbuckles with the telescoping stabilizer ala B29xx. $145 for parts at TractorSmart.com. Someone that has done this or has the B29xx stock stabilizers - please comment on if there is any side-to-side play in them. Something that I like abouit the turnbuckles is that you can adjust them to have no play. Things I don't like is that they don't stay separated and can bind at the bracket when lifting the arms.

I converted from turnbuckle style stabilizers to telescoping on my B7610 w/ parts from B2910. Although some have posted and claim to actually like the turnbuckles better, in my opinion, I'd do it again a thousand times over. Makes changing implements a whole lot easier. I have zero issues with side to side play.

I strongly second the opinion on the telescoping stabilizers being the best improvement in my B7800 that I have ever made. Implement changes are MUCH faster and easier on the back than when I had the turnbuckles. The change only took about an hour, with interruptions. I get minimal sway with these. I could probably get less if I was more exacting when attaching implements. It's the best $130 I have ever spent on the tractor!

$130?? I thought you needed to by the whole B2910 3-point hitch assembly and the cost was like $700.

What are the part numbers you need for the minimal turnbuckle to Telescoping arm change? I am very interested. Thanks

I was thinking of doing this to only ONE side and keeping the turnbuckle on the other side... anyone tried this?

Can someone clarify in the picture above that's the improved setup? I bought my 7800 used and apparently it's been upgraded.

I'm interested in converting my L2350 to telescoping stabilizers and it looks like I could possibly make these work. Would you be able to give me the dimensions of the stabilizer--fully retracted and fully extended?

Thanks.
