    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Okay. Now all done! even plugged my front right tire. I’ve officially fixed the two known issues on it when I bought it. (Hydraulic leak and tire leak) if I had known that the hydraulic line was gonna be such a job I would’ve offered him $1,000 less and walked. I thought all had to do was get...

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Yep. But no matter how good I tell myself I’m gonna be (photos from multiple angles, intermittent videos…) I ALWAYS seem to have the one thing I’m missing just off screen!!

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Found it! it was under the floor board, right hand side. It goes between the two brake pedals. Thanks TMGT for your help though. I was looking at that piece too. Made one more unsettling discovery though! Found these two bolts (clearly from tractor) They are both 14mm heads. Can’t find any...

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Well—I may have celebrated a tad prematurely. Was putting on the fender and seat today and then found this one little piece underneath where I stored the seat. I’m going back through my photos but can’t locate it yet. anyone know where this plate goes?

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Thanks Ohio! Yeah, I’m happy too. My first tractor tear down but in full disclosure I’ve had a lot of good practice on small motors. The biggest advantage I had though was that I just finished cleaning and organizing my shop before I took this on made all the difference.

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Fallon— Great post. The direction of the washers was exactly what needed changing! thanks! Repair done! did a quick pressure wash of the tractor to knock of all the sludge and now just have to get the seat and fender back on. Now that I have the leak issues fixed I’ll do the 200 hour maintenance...

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Success!!!!! Ran tractor and not a drop of hydraulic fluid spraying out. Only question is this— My three point hitch lever seems to want to glide back into the lower position. Is this normal (note that fender is still off so maybe the fender provides some resistance that helps it stay in the...

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

If it does I guess I'll know how to address it! I plan to try and document the steps a bit better and post somewhere here just in case anyone ever comes across this issue. It does seem that this is a rare occurrence, but since Kubota had 4 different redesigns on the line my local dealer did tell...

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Finally got line off. In addition to removing al the items I mentioned earlier I had to remove the tool box, the seat base, the three point position lever, the linkage for the differential lock, the housing for the hydraulic dip stick, the hydraulic hose that feeds my FEL, and completely remove...

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Thanks for the link. I do have the WSM downloaded and it is full of good info. Unfortunately, when it came to this fix it didn't seem to be a big help. The parts diagrams on Messicks though are great as they do help you visualize what order things need to come apart in. Some of this is just...

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Well… brake pedal and hst pedals moved away from frame and now I find that I’ll need to remove the three point hitch lever and some other miscellaneous items. it’s like kubota started building the B2400 with this hydraulic line and then assembled everything else around it!

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Nope. At least its not apparent enough from me to want to try. My local dealer has never done this repair but found a few guys on a FB group who have and they concurred with this assessment. I wish though!! Thanks for the well wishes. I may need them!

    B2400 steel hydraulic line replacement

Started the steel hydraulic line replacement in my B2400. (Line that serves the three point hitch). Turns out you need to remove (in order): the seat, the knob for the relief valve, the black plastic cover that is right under the seat and surrounds the relief knob, the knobs on the hitch & 4...
