Making one attatchment do 2 jobs- Hay Spike

A few years back I built a 3 pt hay spike. It works wonders for moving the round bales in the field. The downside is I can off load the first bale on a trailer but the rest I have to roll off. I was going to build me a spike for the FEL and started looking at my 3 pt mover. Humm...... I...

    Foam in central Texas?

Anybody know of someplace in the Waco/Corsicana/Palestine (and maybe even Huntsville) area that can foam fill my fronts? Any idea on the price too? I have 11-16 flotations on right now but also have the original 7.50-16 tri ribs. Might go back to the tri ribs thinking it would be alot cheaper.

Tires  To the owners of 5500 series who want bigger tires on front

My tractor has been in too many fights with thorns/glass shards/metal/sticks. The fronts have been tubed, booted, and slimed and I still lose the battle. Not really wanting to spend $100 a tire I was going to put on some 235/80/16's that come off my one ton. Well I stopped by the tire shop...

Complete loss of hydraulics on Yanmar 2610

Yesterday I was using my dads 2610. I had a round bale on the back (about 1300 pounds) and it had no problem picking it up and moving around. I used the FEL to move a piece of pipe. Again no problems. Loaded it on the trailer and it went to his house (note that the bale was let down on the...

So everybody really wants to know whats wrong with a Yanmar huh?

They wont quit. I myself have a 5500 Mahindra (54 hp). My dad has a 2610 Yanny. Both are 2wd w/fel's. Right now he has my tractor because he needed more power and mine is roughly twice as powerful. He had several old burnt houses that he needed to pile up to reburn/clean up. I had been...

I ain't too sure I still love my Mahindra!

I have a 5500 that was purchased about a year and a half ago, it has about 166 hours on it now. At low rpms the steering does not work. If you have the motor revved above 1500 or so its fine. I had the pump pulled apart and you can see the galling in the aluminum housing. So..... New pump it...

    2610 that overheats

My dad has a 2610 that overheats very quickly, usually within 15 minutes its at 225 and at 230 it loses all power and shuts down. There is no sign of bubbles or oil in the water, no water in the oil, the radiator is clean (inside and out), water does flow, we've tried everything from straight...

How good are the hyd on a 2610?

My dad has a 2610 yanny and wants to hook up a 3pt log splitter. This sp;itter runs off of the tractors hyd. I don't think it'll be enough to do what he wants? I know there are a ton of variables ( how much psi and volume does trac have vs what does the splitter need) but unfortunetly I have...

    ROPS saved my life Sat.

My parents are getting a new doublewide on some country land dad inherited. The road was a little narrow so we needed to widen it and remove trees from the edge. There are quite a few big ceders, some around 14 inches across the trunk and about 45 feet long. I was using my bucket forks to...
