Kubota and John Deere Tractors
Guys,

I am in the market for a subcompact tractor now. I am currently looking at the John Deer 1023e or 1026r, Kubota BX series or Mahindra Max series. Has New Holland announced any plans to unveil a new subcompact line soon?

The Boomer 20 and 25 will be arriving at dealers starting in about April. We have 5 on order and they have since been shipped. They will be 20 and 25 hp respectively.

Are they LS or Mitsubishi type subcompact tractors?

Yes. They are Mitsubishi powered subcompacts manufactured by LS. There were some emmissions issues with them, that is why there was a gap in the NH lineup for almost a year.

Thank congress and the EPA, but NH now has a full line up.

The boomer 20 and 25 are not subcompacts.

New Holland still does not have a full line up. no sub compacts, no cab tractors, etc. CNH needs to either make a commitment to the compact tractor business and get the product right, or cut their losses and concentrate on farm equipment.

I agree that there are still gaps, I guess I didn't think we were talking about the entire NH lineup here. I also agree with a little more reading that the Boomer 20 and 25 are Class I tractors not subcompacts. At the same time, they may fit the bill for the OP.

Frame size on the NH Boomer 20 and 25 will be larger than the Deere models you stated above, otherwise the hp and other specs are comparable.

Thanks! To be honest, the Boomer 20 & 25 seems to be the same tractors as the LS J23HST and J27HST. I would probably go to the LS dealer to look at them seeing he already has them on his lot.

Neil,

Any news if Kubota has an update coming/redesign on the table for the BX models?

Same as LS.

So, these sound like the comparable to a Kubota B2620 and B2320. So, the JD model would be the... 2320 and what? John Deere's line has a couple of holes in it too. The Boomer 30 would be like the B2920, B2630, or the JD 2520 or 2720? It really gets strange trying to figure out what apples to apples is when doing comparisons. I guess it all runs down to where their big markets are. I ran into a dealer that wouldn't mess with a Kubota B series any smaller than a B2920. It was where he was located, and what his local customers wanted.
I wouldn't say NH needs to cut out of the market because they don't have an apples to apples direct competitor. That's silly. What I do find irritating is that every one is selling re-branded tractors with slightly different sheet metal and different paint. JD, at least, makes an effort to engineer some differences into their tractors.
