B2920 Kubota
Kubota B2920 TLB With Mid Mount Mower
Model Year: 2012

This is a powerful little workhorse. It served me well and I loved the compact size for this tractor. The backhoe (BH65) and a 12-foot and 16-foot buckets were great attachments that I bought with the tractor, as well as a loader and mid-mount mower. I have spent what I believe to be a fair amount of time getting to operate the tractor and backhoe, and I'm impressed with what the backhoe was capable of doing. Overall, I would say I made a good choice when I bought it. I have since purchased a larger tractor with cab (L3560 TLB with hydraulic thumb and 2 buckets).

Pros: Largest horsepower in its frame class, always impressed by the power for its size, 3-range transmission plus HST
Cons: HST pedal tends to get sticky over time, so it requires proper lubrication and cleaning at times, and I cannot understand why Kubota put side by side brake pedals beside the HST pedal? How can you use them for turning while your foot is on the HST pedal? Bad idea

After Market Cab With DYI (NOTE: WRONG PRODUCT?)
Model Year: 2013

I bought an after market soft side cab from The Original Cab Company. Then I built my own heater and mounted it overhead, in the cab. It turned out great. If I do say so myself.

Pros: Works very well and is easy to install
Cons: None

Tough Little Tractor
Model Year: 2013

I bought it about four years ago to clear 4 acres of woods to build a house. It is a very reliable tractor. I have put 400 hours on it so far. I have asked it to do a lot and so far I am very happy with my Kubota tractor.

Pros: Very little maintenance
Cons: The 3-point hitch is a little small for some of my implements, have to remove the pins to put some of the attachments on

Kubota B2920: Great Dirat Tractor on Hobby Farm
Model Year: 2013

Moved to an 11 acres hobby/horse farm. Needed a tractor to do mowing, snow removal, hauling, tilling, etc. After a bit of research, I got the 2920. In winter, tractor started easily even in the Polar Vortex, powered 60" PTO mounted snowblower no problem, made quick work of driveway areas. Loader on front useful for moving piles of snow. In spring so far, using 72" rear PTO mowing deck, drag harrow, WoodMaxx wood chipper, loader with loader forks for moving piles of brush, tree trunks, etc. Tractor runs great so far has plenty of power for what I have tried so far. And so far it is big enough. The high quality is obvious in the design and operation and quality of components.

Pros: Lots of capability in a smaller tractor, very high quality.
Cons: Haven't found one yet.

B2920 Kubota
B2920
Model Year: 2013

I recently purchased a B2920. I already owned an older B7610. My son and I clean out poultry barns with these tractors using front mounted blades. The 29hp 2920 has much less pushing power then the 24hp 7610. Neither my son or I like to use the B2920 because of the lack of pushing power. It was explained to me that the B2920 had a different design hydro-static transmission that would result in what we were experiencing. In other words the 24hp will put more power to the wheels than the 29hp and do it with little effort from the operator. A very disappointing purchase.

Pros: Nice seat.
Cons: Poor transmission.

B2920 Kubota
New Kubota B2920
Model Year: 2014

I just put my first 20 hours in on this machine. So far it has met my expectations. I was going to purchase the backhoe later, but decided to just get everything at once due to $0 down and 0% interest for 5 years. I am so glad I did. I've used the backhoe way more than I thought I would. I even used it to get out of some mud that had all 4 of my tires spinning. The entire package (FEL, MMM, and BH) wasn't cheap, coming in at $26,030 before Michigan sales tax. However, the quality of this machine has me thinking that I am just breaking it in for my son.

Pros: Very heavy sturdy and heavy duty construction for a compact tractor.
Cons: Expensive ($$$).

B2920 Kubota
My First Compact Diesel
Model Year: 2010

Well I haven't broken it yet. Where I come from we work them hard, their not for show, and I'm very please at how well my 2920 with FEL has held up. I considered going a size or two smaller but now I'm glad I didn't. With my 14 acres of woods and over 1200 foot long driveway, I've asked it to do a lot and it always does what I ask. I'd like to front mount my rear mounted Meteor snowblower. Dealer says can't be done; need Kubota front mount blower for over 6k. Find that hard to believe.

Pros: Small foot print, plenty of power.
Cons: A little light, heavier means more traction and stability in my book.

B2920 Kubota
Added This Review After 10 Months
Model Year: 2013

I have owned this tractor for 10 months now, and used it through the winter. This Kubota B-2920, with loader and soft side cab, has been a big help. I added a cab heater, of my own design, that works very well keeping the cab warm. Still no major complaints. Power steering is great with any loader tractor, and this tractor has a good power steering system. The 3 speed HSD transmission makes this tractor a real work horse, in it's 29HP range. At first I didn't think I would like the R-4 tires, but having now used them in summer and winter, they work well. A very good buy, for this size tractor. I considered buying "Green" but this Kubota has, in my opinion, a better tractor.

Pros: Good HP, easy to use controls, comfortable cab, a real work horse.
Cons: The HSD pedal is a little uncomfortable.

B2920 Kubota
Kubota B-2920 HST 4X4 w/Loader
Model Year: 2013

I have had this tractor 9 months, and used it last summer with my new King Kutter, 48 in. tiller, and my Brinly 12 in. plow. Now using it for the deep snow we just had Jan 5 2014. I bought a soft side cab, and the tractor along with the added cab, have been great. This tractor has a 3 speed hydro tranny, and couple that with the 4X4 it is a work horse. I can truly say, I don't know what I would do without this tractor. Seems to be easy on fuel.

Pros: Ease of use, good on fuel, plenty of HP for this model.
Cons: The forward reverse pedal is some what uncomfortable,

B2920 Kubota
Better Than GREEN
Model Year: 2013

Had my tractor 8 months, and like it very much. Had some issues at first, but after I got used to it, not bad at all. It is hydro, and would rather have stick, but not able to get one. The 3-point is a little weak on the lifting, but for this size tractor, it will do. Tractor is a work horse, and the loader is great. The 4WD with locking rear end works great. Can't believe the hole I dug, and just backed out with full load in the bucket. For the 29 HP, I think I'll keep it.

Pros: 4WD locking rear end, 3 speed transmission, quick attach loader.
Cons: 3 point is a bit weak.

B2920 Kubota
Perfect Tractor for a 5-10 Acre Gentleman's Farm
Model Year: 2009

I use this tractor for finish mowing (belly mower), plowing, tilling, spraying, brush cutting, cleaning animal stalls, hay cutting and raking, and moving dirt/gravel. I had a hard time deciding what size of tractor to buy, and I'm very happy with this one. Perfect 5-10 acre tractor in my opinion. Loader is easily removed/installed in less than 5 minutes, as is the belly mower. Would be nice if the belly mower had a mulching option. Also, wish I had chosen the larger belly mower. Didn't realize how easy it could be removed, so I had expected to leave it on most of the time.

Pros: Incredible versatility.
Cons: Seat doesn't have enough forward travel for shorter people.

B2920 Kubota
Kubota 2920 Purchase
Model Year: 2013

I purchased my Kubota in May 2013. In 2012 my wife and I purchased a small farm. We have a decent sized vegetable garden (about 1600 square feet), a 1.2 acre orchard with apple, peach, pear and cherry trees, we have about 2.5 acres of yard and the rest is hayed or used for grazing. We spent our first year learning what we would need to do to develop and maintain the farm and then made a decision as to what size of tractor we would need. When deciding between tractors we narrowed it down to John Deere, New Holland and Kubota. The price point of the New Holland was significantly higher than the others and the dealer did not want to negotiate. We liked both the John Deere, tended to lean toward the Kubota because the sales rep seemed to know much more about the tractor than his John Deere counterpart. We test drove both tractors. The John Deere felt a little "clunky" and slow compared to the Kubota, but was still a very nice tractor. The implement prices were also a little lower for the John Deere so we could get the finish mower and blade for a little less than from Kubota. We requested both dealers write up purchase offers on the tractors. The Kubota rep responded in less than an hour. A week went by and we had not heard from the JD rep. I called him and was advised we needed to apply for credit through JD before he could quote us a price. I advised him we had applied for credit, been approved for the 0% program and that I had brought that information in to him the previous week. He looked through the file, said "oh," and advised he would get something out to me in the next day or two. The next day I dropped off another copy of JD financing documents to the dealer just in case they had lost them. Spoke to the sales manager and she apologized for the problem and said he would personally get something out to me by the end of the day. Another week went by with no further communication. Meanwhile, spoke with the Kubota rep and he agreed to match the JD dealership prices on all of the implements we wanted to purchase. That clinched it for us and we bought the Kubota. The dealership delivered it to our farm and spent a couple hours reviewing all of the features and operations with my wife and I. Our local dealer also provides on site routine service for the first year. We've been very happy with our tractor. It has performed flawlessly as have all of the implements we have purchased. It is very easy to operate with solid safety features. In our case the dealership made all of the difference.

Pros: Reliability, ease of use, great dealer support.
Cons: None so far.

B2920 Kubota
Very Pleased, Best Decision
Model Year: 2012

When I first started thinking about getting a tractor, I checked out all the specs online that I could find. I went to several dealers. The Kubota just seemed like the best designed, comfortable and user friendly tractor out there for me. All of the components seemed designed for each other instead of being pulled off of the shelf and put together. I have owned this B2920 for two years and do not regret my decision. This has been a great tractor. I have used it on several landscaping jobs and on my own property regrading and moving dirt. It is a real workhorse. I usually keep the RPMs @ 1900 as this seems to be a great sweet spot for power, fuel and comfort of the engine. It took me a little while to figure out the hour meter calculates on full RPMs. This means at 1900 it is only totaling about 65% of real time. While the hour meter reads about 400, it really has over 600 hrs. Everyone is always amazed by the amount of work this "little" tractor can do. The industrial tires offer a good balance between being turf friendly and getting grip while grading. I originally had a skid steer but would not use it for some of the jobs because it would tear up more than I was fixing on established yards. It was also too big for some of the yards I work on. Since the overall width of the B2920 is 4', I use a 4' box blade, a 4' pulverizer and for the landscape rake, I went with 6' so I could get closer to beds, fences and walls. The 29hp engine seems to pull these widths fine and I would not want the strain or off-balance of larger attachments. By keeping the engine at 1900 RPMs, the fuel consumption is very miserly. I can usually get 7-8 hours on 3.5-4 gallons (.5 gallons hr.). While everyone wants to lift more in their bucket, it will hold enough to make the back tires light, even with filled rear tires and a 430lb box blade. I have only had a couple of problems with the tractor so far, both front axle swivel seals were leaking and the rear diff-lock would not engage enough to keep it from slipping. The dealer replaced the front seals and re-aligned the linkage to allow the diff-lock to engage more. Overall I have been very pleased with this tractor and my decision.

Pros: Quality, powerful, ergonomics, low fuel usage, reliable, 4 ft. width.
Cons: Heel operated rear diff lock, keep wanting more attachments. ;)

B2920 Kubota
Kubota B2920
Model Year: 2011

I bought this B2920 used with just a few hours on it. It has loader, mower deck and a front blade. This little tractor is about perfect, small enough to mow and big enough to do some work. I purchased a fork attachment to fit the loader arms and will get a Curtis cab before snow flies, well snow is already flying, to round it out. Pushes snow well and is the best mower that I have ever had. Great suction on the deck and the Kubota blades are very good.

Pros: Everything works and fits the way it should.
Cons: Pricey.

B2920 Kubota
B2920
Model Year: 0

60 inch belly mower mowed down grass and weeds about 2 foot tall with no bog down. A pleasure to drive, responsive steering, turns with a finger tip, seat feels good on the butt and back. adequate leg room and deck and controls all with in easy reach . The loader seems weak compared to an 18 horse Kubota I replaced it with, but it does work nicely with a full load of wet dirt. Moved around 100 ton of dirt that was impacted and hardened with it. Easy on fuel around 9 hours on a tank of fuel. R4 tires easy on yard and grass, will tear up grass with sharp turns or 4 wheel drive engaged, but overall I love the thing it is great to not have to shift gears and has 3 speeds to use if needed.

Pros: Quiet, good ergonomics, bucket controls are near hand without having to reach. Good power, quick starts, ease of use ease of access for maintenance.
Cons: Loader seems weak, springs under the seat rust quickly.

B2920 Kubota
Features: 4 Stars
Model Year: 2013

Very pleased with my B2920. The only thing I do not like, is the fact that you can not use your mower when the backhoe is on the tractor, like on the BX series. Going from the 3pt arms to the backhoe is truly a pain. This is the perfect size tractor, the backhoe has a lot of power, the 18" bucked makes a huge diff. I absolutely love my B2920, and this one is staying for a long long time!

Pros: Solid, not too heavy but heavy enough, nice cop pit.
Cons: The backhoe, 3pt arms exchange, painful.

B2920 Kubota
Not the Tractor for Doing Hard Work
Model Year: 2009

I already own a MF250 which served me well except for the fact it is 2 wheel drive. I purchased the Kubota B2920 for the 4 wheel drive and was assured it would do anything I needed it to do within reason of its size. I own some farm animals and the first failure was its inability to pick up a full bucket of manure. I had to do small bites or the bucket wouldn't come off the ground. I purchased a 3 point stump grinder which was within the stated range of both the manufacturer and Kubota limits. I got the grinder home and couldn't unload the grinder as the Kubota wouldn't pick it up. I ended up dragging the grinder off the trailer and hooked it up to the 3 point thinking that would allow me to move it about. No such luck... just sat on the ground. I ended up dragging the grinder into the shop. I called my Kubota dealer I purchased from and they insinuated I didn't know how to operate the tractor. They picked up the tractor with less than 25 hours, tested the hydraulic pressures and said all was within spec. When I asked why the tractor wouldn't pick-up an implement 700 pounds less than stated limit they began to say it was at the lift point the numbers are rated. Well if the implement is chained at the lift point and the implement still cannot be lifted, something is not right. Anyway, I traded the tractor in with only 25 hours for a newer Massey that picks up anything I want it to pick up. I am disappointed in the Kubota tractors... toys and not much more.

Pros: Small, 4WD, great as a small wheelbarrow, works with post hole digger.
Cons: Limited lifting power, not heavy duty as advertised.

Nice Tractor, Headlights Not So Much
Model Year: 2010

Only two things so far, the head lights are positioned in such a way that when you have the bucket at the height for transporting something it blocks the head lights and you can't see. Also I cracked a head light lens just recently and when I called the dealer to order just the lens they told me I had to buy the whole head light assembly in one piece and it is $300.00---ouch!

Pros: Powerful and reliable.
Cons: Headlights.
