I recently purchased a 10 acres with a home and a Quonset building. This land joins my land.
In the distant past a previous owner buried a shipping container and used it as a storm shelter.
The next owner poured a concrete slab and built a 24x30 Quonset shop building over it.
Problem and how to fix it.
The back 1/2 of the floor is sunk in about 1'. Container rusted and caved in.
I was aware of this condition before I bought it, but thought it could be fixed.
Pics of what I have done so for.
Jack hammered the entire floor.

Notice cavity under the floor.

Destroyed what was left of the container top and pushed all of the busted up concrete into the hole.

Lifted the front of the shop and blocked it up.

Almost ready to pour concrete.

The pad and building will be moved forward about 10' to be on solid ground.
I will pour to day if all goes as planned
Sure has been a fun project
