    I'm feeling homicidal

I\'m feeling homicidal Spyware and adware has found a home on my computer and I'm at wits end. I have Pest Patrol, Ad-Aware, and Spybot, not to mention the firewall on the harddrive and the router (I was given AdSubtract as a gift, but it only blocks the pop-up and does not remove the bad...

    Invisible fence

Any thoughts on invisible dog fences. There are several manufacturers. They all seem basically the same except for price and range. Prices go from $80 to $280, but the cheaper one has a larger range. Am I missing something?? Ranges are from 1/2 acre up to 100 acres. Thanks in advance.

Anyone good with A/V stereo receivers??

Way off topic, but I have a Denon AVR-1200 receiver on *Protection*. Could this just be a blown fuse, or am I facing down a blown amp? I've disconnected all inputs and speakers to rule a crossover, and it doesn't appear to have been overheated.(since its ice cold). Assuming its beyond my...

    House addition

This is the first ever pic I've posted, so I hope it turns out. Picture is of the next 8 months of my life. Currently I am forming footings. The tractor in the pic is not mine. This is the basement excavation for the addition. The slab to the right is the old garage which I've torn down...

Elite seems to be an accurate descriptor

I've been mulling some time about how exactly to post this thought, but now it is quite clear. It is obvious that there is an established heirarchy on this board, and the thoughts of a minority, or, for that matter the thoughts of the higher posters take precedence. I tried to continue the...

    Tractor deduction

Following the logic of an MSNMoney article: I can declare myself in the business of plowing snow. I plow a few driveways a year and make a hundred dollars. Declare the hundred dollars income and the cost of a front plow and the yearly depreciation of the tractor. I deduct the business loss...

    Afraid of a topic?

I tried to respond to the union/anti-union post but it didn't work, not sure why. Someone posted that they were proud that no one engaged in the conversation. What is there to be proud of?? It seems a little ridiculous that you are afraid to discuss on a discussion board. I'd like to step up...

    What would you do?

My tractor was not manufactured with ROPS. At the recommendation of Kubota, the dealer supplied an aftermarket roll bar when I bought it, to cover his butt. Its going on 4 years in the shed and I haven't installed it yet. Bearing in mind the the "S" in ROPS stands for system, meaning a roll...

    Loader -- no 4WD

Looking at the Koyker 155 loader for my 30hp tractor. I looked at the previous Koyker threads: There was mention of weight with the Koyker, but from what I see on the spec pages they're lighter than the equivalent Wood or Great Bend. Am i crazy? My brother with 4WD, same size tractor says...

    Can't keep it up

Can\'t keep it up My three point lift raises fine, and stays raised until I let go of the control lever. Then the lever moves forward and the 3pt. comes down. This has been going on for months now and I can't figure it. Nothing leaking, and the up pressure hasn't changed. Worse of all, I...
