    BX2350 front weight question

A belated thank you for the replies! I was very surprised when I took the loader off. The front end stays on the ground without any weights... as long as I'm on level ground and am not changing directions. 4 weights was plenty of weight to keep the front end down with my conditions.

    BX2350 front weight question

Does anyone have an idea on how much weight I would need to add to the front of the tractor to take the place of the loader? I have a weight bracket and 320 lbs of suitcase weights, but I'm worried this won't be enough. I'm using the tractor on flat ground with a snowblower on the 3pt. The...

Kubota M7060 trailer plug wiring question

After several months of ownership, I have finally gotten around to making an adapter to hook up my dump trailer with 7-pin RV connector to the 7-pin connector that came with tractor. Much to my disappointment the 7th pin, 12v charging circuit, was not active. Has anyone figured out how to...

    Kubota M6060 tire change

I've been researching the M6060 and was wondering about how difficult it is to change tire sizes on a 4wd model. It seems the most common tire combo is 9.5x24 front and 14.9x28 rear. If I came across a used tractor, would I be able to change out the gearing to use 280/85R20 fronts and 14.9x28...

Minor mods from a new BCS 739 owner

Hello! We bought our new BCS 739 this past spring with the tiller and Berta flail mower. It has been a very nice machine so far, but I wanted to share a couple of minor improvements that have made it easier to work with. The first is a basically just a shim to make the red handle for the safety...

Stihl MS250 floods crankcase when not running

Last fall my MS250 would run due to old gas. After cleaning the carb, it ran but tended to flood out when starting cold. Yesterday when I tried to start it for the first time in 2 months, the crankcase was filled with gas, which prevented the engine from pulling over. Has anyone else come across...

    Will a BX Plow Snow

Yes, the BX will plow snow. How well depends on your perspective. When compared to a riding lawn mower with a 3' blade, the BX will do amazing things. When compared to a 60hp, 6000 lb, tractor with loaded tires and chains, the BX is rather disappointing. In my experience the BX will really...

Snow 3pt Rear Mount Snowblower recommendations for BX24

Forgot to attach a picture of my setup (taken last winter, my wife is driving). I also wanted use of the front loader at the same time as the blower. It's true, it's not a lot of fun when the wind is blowing in your face. But if you need to move snow away from a vehicle or building and don't...

Loader for BX tractors LA243 vs LA243A

Has anyone compared these two loaders yet? I would like to know how compatible the quick attach bucket and forks from the LA243A (new model) would be with my LA243 (old model). The dealer told me the forks simply wouldn't fit, but he would be happy to consider taking my BX2350 in on trade for...

    Snow Blower for BX2360

I went through that exercise last year. If you look into shipping on the Northern Tool blower, it will end up at about $2k. I ended up going with a 52" Hardy Lynx for my BX2350. It also didn't come with skids, but I made my own out of some 3/8" flat stock that I had in the shop, after that it...

    Mini dozer usefulness?

I'm not sure if this is the best category to ask, but I'm pondering a mini dozer build and wondering how useful the finished product will be. I've never used one, so I don't know much about how well they work. So here's what I'm considering: start with something like a Kubota B6000 (13hp...

    Deere 870 HST pedals sticking

Deere 855 HST pedals sticking I am helping a friend with their 855. It runs and drives, but has had a rough life and sits outside. The direction pedals are very stiff and do not automatically return to the neutral position. I applied grease to the 2 fittings I found for them (one on the pivot...

    Snow  BX hydraulic oil heater?

I have a Kubota BX2350 that I plan to use for snow removal this winter. If I follow the owners manual, in cold weather I will need to let the tractor warm up for over 10 minutes before I use it. So my question is: has anyone ever used a block heater to warm the oil so that it can be used...
