OK to mix AW-32 and "general" tractor hyd fluid?

Title says it all...can I mix the two? I don't want to but a 5 gallon drum of AW-32 if I can get by with a 2 gallon container of general purpose hyd fluid. It's just to lift my 3pt, not FEL or anything else. VERY light duty...

Jinma 204 (Farm Pro 2420) Hydraulic Pump Leak

I've got a 2005 Jinma 204 and I've got a hydraulic pump leak somewhere. My guess is it's where the "back" cover plate is. I've had leaks here before and "fixed" them by tightening up those 4 bolts. Well now I'm at the limit...and it's leaking pretty bad...almost a drop every few seconds...

    No left turns!

I was cutting some grass today and towards the end I noticed that my manual steering tractor (Farmpro/Jinma) didn't want to turn left. It turned right as usual but felt "funny" and VERY stiff going left. Anyone else have a steering problem? I looked at the manual and I THINK I have the...

Box Scraper  Box blade to start a garden, will it work?

I want to start a garden and all I have is a box blade. I was thinking about using my scarifiers set really low to tear up the ground and then to smooth it out with the blade. This will be a really SMALL garden of maybe 50'x50'. Think it will work? The dirt is pretty soft with no rocks...

Howse or International post hole digger...

Im needing a post hole digger...I have locally a Howse for about $500 with an auger and an International with auger for $450... Anyone have any recomendations or experience with either? I'll be putting up an AG fence and I'm planning on a 6" post for the corners and was going to get a 9"...

    Need a post hole digger...suggestions?

I'm looking for an inexpensive post hole digger to dig holes in my red Alabama clay. No rocks, maybe some roots as I'll be close to the tree line. I've heard that I should get a 12" auger for 6" posts because they don't dig straight in. I've also heard that using 12" is stupid because they DO...

    Need a post hole digger...suggestions?

I'll be fencing my 7.5 acres soon and I'm in the market for a post hole digger with a 12" auger. I'll actually be sinking 6" posts at the corners but I've heard that the holes are seldom perfectly straight in and the 12" allows for leeway. Anyway, can anyone suggest a brand/model PHD and maybe...

    How to operate rotary cutter

This is being discussed on the "operating" forum too but I thought I'd ask other "Chinese" owners... I have a Farmpro 2420, Jinma clone. Should you operate your bush hog (a HEAVY piece of equipment) with the 3PH partially raised or lowered all the way? I'm thinking that all that weight...

I have a question about my FarmPro 2420...

Just curious...I can't seem to find anything that matches my tractor. Whenever I look for my model I always get the 2 cylinder specs. I have a 3 cylinder. Is my 2420 really the 2010? Before they renamed it? The Farm Pro site doesn't list the 2420. Thanks...

Changed all my fluids, found a small drip...

Ok, I have 10 hours on my FarmPro 2420 and I changed all my fluids. Everything went well and I want to thank whomever made that "100hr maintenance" page at the CTOA web site. It helped a lot. One thing though, my hydraulics didn't take NEAR 2.5 gallons. Maybe 1 gallon. I had the hitch all...

Used Farm Pro 2420 for the first time...questions

I finally got around to using my new tractor today. I went around and made sure everything was tight, all the places that needed fluids had it (it's nice that they painted all the fluid fill/check places red), and cranked her up. Started without a hitch, idles a little rough but then again...

    Well I did it...bought a Farm Pro

Finally, after all the searching I went and bought a Farm Pro 2420 with a bushhog and a box blade. It's the 3 cyl with the 2 year parts and labor warranty. Paid $6100 delivered to my house. It looks like it will be a nice tractor. The dealer wouldn't budge much at all but it IS a lot of...

Who has the oldest/most hours on their Ch tractor?

I'm curious. The "big 3" owners are always talking about how long their tractors last and how the chinese tractors are "throw aways". So, how many hours do you have on your tractor? How many years have you had it? Thanks...

    Tractors to avoid...

Ok, you guys convinced me... I'm going to get "American Iron", used of course, from someone local (within 50 miles). So, my question (and hopefully my last, thanks for your replies so far) is...drumroll please... What tractors should I AVOID. I've got a list of local dealers I'm going to...

Dealer  Where to get fixed? Close dealers? Live in SE AL

Say I find a tractor that isn't "standard", a Jinma, Mitsubishi, Zen-Noh, etc. Where do I get it fixed? I can do routine maintenance, but major work I'd have to take it somewhere. Am I supposed to drag it 250 miles back to where I bought it? The closest dealers for these type tractors so...

Seriously, how good are these Mitsubishi tractors?

I can get a nice package of a D1500, dual axle wheel trailer, rotary cutter and some more stuff for $5000. What do you think? Good enough to cut 6 acres of pasture that is fairly level? Will it last? I've actually HEARD of Mitsubishi as opposed to those Chinese brands.

    MF-135 for $5000 or a new Chinese for $6000?

Ok, dealers are sparce here in SE Alabama. So, my options are a little limited. I can get a 1968 MF-135 for $5000 with 2150hrs. It has a PTO that stops when it gets warm that the dealer will fix. Or, I could go for a Chinese (Nortrac) for about $6000 that is new. So, seriously, what would...

Dealer  How much for a MF-135 w/2150 hrs from a dealer?

The local dealer wants $5000 for a MF-135 with 2150 hrs. It's a 1968. The back tire has some cuts and the fronts are pretty worn. The PTO stops when it gets warmed up but he said he'll fix that. Otherwise it seems OK, for a 37 year old tractor. So, am I being suckered? This is in SE Alabama.

Are the REALLY OK or are they crap?

I just bought 7 acres to put a house on, build a pond, raise some goats... It's all slightly rolling and pasture with some bushes, nothing thicker than 1/2 inch. I'd use it just to cut the pasture ocassionally. So, tell me truthfully, are these Chinese tractors OK or am I going to regret...
