New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

Sage advice - we tried with the local dealers - they both admitted that they might not be able to get us a machine for a year or two...

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

Dodge – thanks. We did a 50 hour oil/filter change and a 200 hour as well. Oil report is going in the right direction – but still not where we’d like it.

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

rScotty: Please excuse the delay in responding - I truly appreciate hearing your thoughts and found them helpful and reassuring. I guess I was mainly concerned because our previous tractors always had very clean looking hydraulic oil - so the appearance of this oil was a surprise. As you read...

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

UPDATE I’m not gonna say this is the most fun we’ve ever had with a new tractor😊. To review: We noticed at about 200 hours that the hydraulic oil on our new M62 looked less translucent than we were used to - did an oil change and it looked pretty awful (see previous pictures). Sent it off...

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

We’ve been getting all the advice we can and I think the explanation from rScotty at OrangeTractorTalk sounds right – “Kubota delivered without flushing or adequately flushing the hydraulic system”- we know that the dealer didn’t do most/all of the dealer prep because of other things that got...

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

Thanks everyone for the excellent advice. Please excuse the delay responding – I’ve been busy changing the fluid. Additional Information: Tractor was purchased new from dealer– no previous owners. Unfortunately it looks like we chose a bad dealership. He is refusing to help. Called Kubota -...

New(ish) Kubota M62 With Filthy Hydraulic Oil

Kubota M62 With High Insolubles in Hydraulic Oil We have a pretty new Kubota M62 with just about 200 hours. I was changing the hydraulic and transmission oil filters and took a look at the oil itself. It looked much dirtier than I had ever seen in our other machines. I could actually see...

Kubota M62 Loader/Bucket Dropping When Tractor Shut off...

This is apparently “normal” for at least some Kubota tractors. Someone posted the attached figure that shows the acceptable extensions for their curl ram. (4 inches in 15 minutes if it's self leveling)

Kubota M62 Loader/Bucket Dropping When Tractor Shut off...

Safety issue aside – the loader bucket drops quickly enough that we only have about 20 minutes to shove stuff out of the bucket. Before sending it to the dealer, I’m trying to find out if this is out-of-spec. Can anyone with a newish Kubota let me know if their loader bucket began to drop when...

Kubota M62 No Swing force after Hoe Reattachment

Some possible good news with our backhoe problem… Because it happened right after reattaching the hoe - and I had been pretty careful about keeping everything clean - I decided it was likely either airbound or something with the diverter valves. Cycling the swing many times didn’t alleviate...

Kubota M62 No Swing force after Hoe Reattachment

Additional information: This backhoe has 3 hoses – one hose is labeled “swing” – the connections are kind of idiot proof and can’t be connected incorrectly. They’re also color coded. Yes, I was really careful with the diverter valves. This is a new machine (yes, I called the dealer) and the...

Kubota M62 No Swing force after Hoe Reattachment

We reattached the backhoe (BT1400) after using a three point hitch implement on our M62, and have almost no swing power left or right. Things get a bit better at high rpm’s - the hoe at least slowly swings, but it has no power. The controls are correct. Everything else is good. I was pretty...

Kubota M62 Loader/Bucket Dropping When Tractor Shut off...

We’ve got about 100 hours on the M62 and the first little problem has cropped up… The loader has begun to drop relatively quickly when the tractor is shut off. There is a clicking sound, and the bucket dumps and the loader drops to the ground over about 20 minutes. For the first 100 hours, the...

Having a blast with our new M62

We'll look into the hood protection - thanks. The Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) Heater Kit was a recommended recall in the L-Series in cold locations. It prevented something bad happening to the engine - not sure what:). So far, no one seems to have gotten it in the TLB series.

New M62! Thanks everyone – your commentary pushed us over and we went ahead an bought the M62 for our Vermont woodlot. We’re just getting to know the tractor and had a first question. About 3 minutes after we start the tractor each morning, then engine sound changes – it get’s a bit loader...

Having a blast with our new M62

Thanks everyone, we really appreciate your insights. We use our current Deere 110TLB around our woodlot alternating quite a bit between loader and BH work. Having a blast with our new M62

M62 BH Question: Some sources online advertise the L47 and M62 TLBs as having a third hydraulic pump, supplying the left and right backhoe control levers each with their own supply of fluid. Reportedly, this means that the controls don't fight for the same supply of hydraulic fluid, allowing...

    Deere 110TLB Engine Problem

Tractor seem to work fine for about five hours - then conked out today during heavy load. Attempt to restart revealed a battery that would not turn over the engine (84% charge). Could this be a bad alternator that has made the electrical supply inadequate at times, and what looked like a bad...

    Deere 110TLB Engine Problem

Backhoe John Deere 110 TLB Main Backhoe Bucket Pivot Pin - How do you remove these?

    Chains  Wrong Chains?

Living on a snowy mountain top we had chains put on our Deere 110TLB this Winter. But we are wondering if something is wrong with our new chains. The tractor doesn't seem to have much more traction than without them. This seems because most of the chains are below the treads on the Ag tires...
