Bxpanded Root Ripper for LS Backhoes

I see that Bxpanded now markets root rippers for the different LS backhoes. I have a LB3104 and was wondering if their ripper is compatible with the mechanical thumb I got from LS. Anyone here have their ripper, and are you using it with the LS thumb?? I did send them an e-mail, just waiting...

    Backhoe installation question

I agree, WoodMaxx is a good company. I have their 9900 wood chipper, and a 62" flail with the hydraulic side shift, and both are great machines. And yes, their manuals were very clear and easy to follow. Don't know anything about their backhoe, but, I assume it is mounted on the 3-point hitch? I...

    Backhoe installation question

As I mentioned earlier, I live 1 1/2 to 2 hours from their nearest locations, (they have 4 of them) and I did not have the means to get the tractor to them. In none of my correspondence with them did they tell me what condition the backhoe would be delivered and what tools, etc. I would need for...

    Backhoe installation question

I found a You Tube video of someone with an XR4155 showing how he removed his sub-frame mounted backhoe. The two hoses were connected to the bottom pair of couplers. I wonder what this extra coupler they have you install is for??? Anyone else here have one on their tractor??

    Backhoe installation question

Can't find exact info on the hose connecting. I have 3 pairs of couplers on the back of the tractor, and they show a picture connecting a hose to the bottom left coupler. Interestingly, they have you remove a bolt that is to the left of the pto shaft and install a female coupler there. What is...

    Backhoe installation question

Bracket mounting does seem rather straightforward, pretty much impossible to attach them wrong, and then do say that you should periodically check to make sure the bolts and nuts are still tight.

    Backhoe installation question

The hoe and sub frame came on different pallets. I will need to lift the hoe up (and likely off the pallet) to attach the subframe. The attaching holes on the hoe sit too low on the pallet to attach the sub frame. The instructions (not the most detailed) they provided say to lift the hoe off to...

    Backhoe installation question

Hi all, Well, after 4 months I finally took delivery of my L3104 backhoe, or should I say, my backhoe "kit", since it arrived with some assembly required! I would have hoped the dealership would have been a little more forthcoming in what was involved. I knew I would need to attach the two...

    Digging up old asphalt driveway

I have had asphalt guys say it is too far gone to put another layer on, plus, one big portion needs to stay at a certain height.

    Digging up old asphalt driveway

Yeah, I am hesitant to do too much with the FEL besides scoop up the broken pieces. I also have a neighbor with a little skid steer I could probably borrow if I wanted.

    Digging up old asphalt driveway

Hi all, I want to dig up and remove an old asphalt driveway that is pretty alligatored. I have an XR4150. A new LB3104 backhoe should be arriving shortly. Was thinking I could pry up pieces that. Any thoughts?

XR4150HST stopped dead in its tracks.

Thanks for the feedback, will take another look at the switch. And I did definitely need to stiffen the seat suspension, I think now there is much less chance of bottoming out.

XR4150HST stopped dead in its tracks.

Anyone have the following happen? Tractor has had 280 hours of trouble free use. The other day I do the normal start up procedure, and after warm up I go scoop up a load of dirt from a pile with the loader, drive about 15 feet, go over a little uneven ground, the tractor bounces a little...

    Bucket size for backhoe

Hi all, I am planning on getting a LB3104 backhoe for my XR4150H. Just wondering about what size bucket(s) to get. The dealer said they had 12", 16", 18", and 24". I live in the SF Bay Area and the soil on my place is mostly clay with some rocks. The clay is real sticky and heavy when wet, and...

    Wood chippers

100% agree on Woodmaxx. Great company. When I went to order the 9900 (made in the US) they said it would be months because they had a backlog of orders. When I happened to mention I had bought a flail mower from them not long before they bumped to the top of the line and I received the chipper...

    New Member from Northern California

Hi all, As the subject line says, I am a new member from Northern California. I live on about 14 acres of varied terrain, and currently own a 1958 John Deere 420 Crawler with a 62 dozer blade and 3 pt. hitch, and soon to take possession of an LS XR4150H with a front loader. I have lurked these...
