    wd 45

I hope this is the right forum for this. A buddy of mine brought home a wd 45 the other day. The first thing he broke was the shifter. The shifter would move around, but it was stuck in 3rd gear. The guy that he got it from said that sometimes it does that. I removed the 6 bolts on the tranny...

    Towing in overdrive

I was hauling some cattle in my wife's 16' avalanche horse trailer with my 88 F350 non-turbo,with 5 speed manual the other day. After a while I decided to shift into overdrive to see what it would be like. The trick did pretty good keeping up the speed but when I checked the mileage I was...

    7.3 or 6.9

I bought a 1988 F-350 a couple of months ago from a friend. Engine was rebuilt and the truck was customized with flatbed, step ups, and a heavy duty kick *** bumper. I know that the standard for that year was a 7.3, and the starting instructions on the visor says 7.3, but he seemed to thought...

anyone else have issues with hydralic lines this year?

It seems like I'm going through a lot of hoses and fluid this summer. Some are from dumb luck, like my disc getting unhooked and pulling out the lines, and the newer line that blew when it was rubbing against the loader. I bet ya I've replaced at least 5 lines already this year and repaired the...

    Knifes for a IH-47 baler

I started to do a little maintainence on my old IH-47 baler, some of the things that I've been neglecting for a couple of years like the knives. I took both of them out to find that I can turn them around to have a brand new edge on them. My questions is, there's a little bit of a bevel on the...

    Started disking yesterday.

For about ten minutes, still too wet. I'm using an I.H. 37 disk, it has a box on it to put rocks in for more wieght, but I think that I'll be better off taking the rocks out, because I don't see too many disks around that even has that option. This was on a field that I plowed last fall, and...

    Ford 4000 boiling over.

I have a Ford 4000, 1968ish model, 3 cylinder, gas engine. I've had this problem for a few years now, but it seems to be getting worse every summer. She get's hot, so hot that it will boil the water out of the radiator. Even in the winter time when I'm working it hard. In the summer when I'm...

slow loader goes fast with cylinder unhooked.

A couple months ago I was screwing around with my tractor and I noticed that the loader was dumping super fast. It's always been on the slow side, to slow for me. I noticed the pin holding the cylinder on the right side had come out so it was just the left cylinder working the loader. My...

the guy said it is an international 37 and he had a print out from one he found on the computer, the picture looks the same, I was wondering if anyone here had any idea how old it is, the bearings seem pretty loose hopefully I'll be able to find parts for it still and some of the discs are...

    any tips on discing?

Went and looked at an 8 foot tandem disc today not sure what brand it is, I couldn't find any tags on it but it's red so i'm think I.H. possible, it looked to me like it was in pretty good shape, it's adjustable as far as how aggressive I want it to be. All that for $450. I think it's a pretty...

    finally done plowing.

I took the plow out yesterday afternoon and worked to dark, this morning I wondering if the plow was pulling parellel with the tractor, so I drove the tractor down the driveway so it would leave the tire impressions on the dirt, drove the left tire up 6 inches of wood and put the plow down...

Why are they so cheap? My nieghbor has one for sale, it's around 85 horse with loader and front wheel assist with only 450 hrs on it he had it listed for 13500 a couple years ago, last summer he told me that he would sell it for 12. I could probably give him 10000 cash for it now, the only...

My nieghbor down the road had a 20 acre feild that was planted in rye a couple years ago and is now gone to weeds. The weed that took over is called tansie, or stinkweed, when its mature i has a yellow crown and is very toxic to pregnant cattle. What i was hoping to do if he lets me, is to go...

    questions bout international 47 haybaler.

If your looking at the tracktor from the wagon the right side of the bale is longer, and has more material in it, and of course the twine is longer than the left. Adjusting the bale tension on either side doen't do any good. And iv'e adjusted the feed fork but that didn't seem to do any good...
