12v Diesel fuel pump 10 Gpm on sale today only Amazon $80

I picked up this fuel pump on amazon on sale today only. Is seems to be same thing sold at Harbor Freight and Northern Tool. I am hoping to get a Black Friday deal on a tank from tractor supply or northern to put on skids. If not I will get a drum. I do not know if this is any good but I read in another thread people were using this for their gas cans too so they do not have to lift the heavy cans up to the top of the tractor. I hope this helps someone.

I'm still looking for a good power supply to convert 110v to 12v. I have a similiar pump in a 55gal drum but it's 12v and I don't have a battery to run it so I use an old car battery charger, but it doens't put out enough amperage.

I do not know what kind of watts or amps you need to power it but a 12v power supply should do it but the bigger ones are over $100 and up. I get marine batteries from sams club when they have them on sale for $20 off or around $80 each. I use a small battery maintainer to keep it charged. It is always nice to have a extra working battery around.

I paid $65 for a similar kit a couple of years ago. It has worked fine for me but if I were doing it over I would buy one of the kits without the nozzle and shop for an auto shutoff nozzle to fit it. My drums are right by my generator so I just connect to one of my generator batteries to power it.

FYI I see the kits less hose and nozzle on ebay for less than $30 with USA stock.

Mine is a HF and the tractor has a 12V outlet for it.

Hmm. Maybe I should try my defunct (for extracting oil) Ironton pump to see if it'll pump diesel. It's more the right size for me: 3/4 gpm.

Northern Tool has already refunded my $31.20 paid for it plus shipping.

Another option is a cordless drill mounted pump or a ryobi cordless pump.

My old Agway hand pump always works..granted if my machines take 4gal they only have 1gal left in the tank at most. A hand pump has worked well for me. I have even pumped two 55gal drums with this pump one after another. I wish i had an electric one for that job but never really do that much.

you have to be careful that it's rated for Diesel, most of these kind of pumps use rubber vanes which will quickly deteriorate when petroleum products are pumped through them!..
