Nice tractor. Regional pricing will vary, but I think that if you have a bit of time to wait, you'll see the upper end of pricing discussed here.

At a glance I didn't see your ad on here; TBN private ads are free if you want more coverage.

Rgds, D.
I bought my 4x4 (1056 hrs.) 1988 Ford 1920 FEL ($9500) within 140 miles of the OP's location, thus I bought in the exact same "region".
I did buy R-1 tires, and I bought new rear rims, as they had been eaten away by Calcium Chloride. I paid $565 for the tires, and $240 for the rims, plus $60 for mounting, and $70 for tubes. That works out to $935 total for the rears. I would estimate the total for front rims/tires/mounting at about $460.
The big if here though is IF a buyer really needs R-1 tires. I would have paid $12,000 for that 218 hour tractor with the turf tires, and I would have used it with the turf tires.
I have turf tires on my Ford 3400 TLB, and they work just fine for me. They don't tear up my property!
Many potential Ford 1920 buyers are NOT farmers, and do not need or want R-1's.
I do have a set of R-1 used 14.9 x 24 tires with tubes, for sale, in good condition, if anyone is interested.

I bought two new BKT 13.6 x 24 R-1 tires for my 1920 last year for $565 plus mounting.
Thus, in the big picture, I do not see the those tires as a "big killer".
As another poster has said: that is a new tractor. The existing tires do not diminish the value of THAT tractor very much.

I think you will find that you have to change the wheels also. Front and rear. So, double the cost for the rears, now we are at $1200. Another $1000 for the fronts. Now we have added $2200 to the cost of the tractor if tire swap is necessary. On a $12K tractor. That's an 18% cost increase. That also gets us into the mid teens range. There are a LOT of used tractors that size for sale in the mid teens range. :(

I agree with RickB.

I did change my rear wheels, and that cost is included.
As I explained in my prior post, I paid a total of $935 for my mounted new rears, including 2 new rims, 2 new R-1 tires, 2 new tubes, and mounting both. I priced the fronts out on line = 2-(Carlisle)tires $240 incl. shipping, 2- 7x16 rims $174 incl. shipping, 2-tubes incl. shipping $50, mounting on 2 -7 x16 rims $40.
That totals $504 for the complete 2 new fronts, and $935 for the complete 2 new rears, for a combined total of $1439, for all 4 new tires, tubes, and rims. That is not really cheap, but it is way less than that $2200 estimate!
The turf tires, already mounted, with only 218 hours on them, will have some resale value also, if the buyer actually did not want them.
If they brought in only $500 for the set of 4 already mounted, (a bargain) that would lower the actual new tire swap total cost to $939.
I would definitely not run away from that basically new tractor for the price of a possible tire swap.

Cool. So you can change from R3 to R1 or R4 and only have to buy rims?

A change from R-3 to R-1 will require rims and centers for the rears.

I'd like to know where and more importantly when fried765 bought that set of new rims for that kind of money. Particularly new 7x16 rims to fit the 1920's metric lug pattern for $87 shipped.

As most have stated, you have a rare tractor. Not rare in that 1920's are rare to see around, but rare in condition and hours. Any compact utility tractor made by Ford from the late 70's to 2000 are very sought after, and people tend to keep them because they are incredibly tough and reliable. You really don't see them on the market often, and when you do, they can be rough.

I paid $8200 for my 94 Ford 1715 4x4, front end loader and 5' brush hog, with 1200 hours. It had been very well maintained, and had/has no existing issues other than flasher wiring/relay which was an easy fix. All that said, I feel like I got a pretty good deal on it. Your machine should fetch a healthy $12k with the mower.

Best of luck!

Chris

Edit: I use to have the same radial arm saw you have. It was great, but ended up selling it due to lack of room. I have a Craftsman table saw the same vintage, and they made a good pair!

My answer is what's it worth to you? Be honest.

Yep. That was my point earlier. It's only worth what someone with the money will pay. And it will only sell if that dollar figure is what the owner is willing to take. :)
